Quality at FEILER

At FEILER, quality is our top priority: All our textiles are certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. Even when purchasing yarns, we place great emphasis on high-quality materials made from refined cotton. This enables us to produce terry cloth and chenille fabrics of the highest quality.

Quality by conviction: Made in Germany

"Made in Germany" quality stands for the highest standards and reliability – principles we proudly uphold in the manufacture of our textiles. Even when selecting our yarns, we focus on the highest quality according to German standards. Our production facility in Hohenberg an der Eger processes these into our high-quality chenille and terry cloth fabrics, consisting of 100% cotton. Trust in "Made in Germany" quality – for textiles that combine comfort and durability.

Best chenille quality with excellent properties

Optimal skin feeling

Supported by various studies, scientists assess the feeling of textiles on the skin – the „skin sensory comfort rating“.

FEILER chenille was awarded the top grade by an independent institute, which confirms the special softness of the fabric and the pleasant wearing comfort.

Comfortable well-being

Blankets made of FEILER chenille are ideal for an ambient temperature above 24 °C.

Conducted in an independent study, a TOG value of 0,5 has been identified, which means the products are for example suitable as a light cover in summer, because they provide a comfortable feeling of warmth with very good breathability.

For sensitive skin

FEILER chenille has been proven to be classified as „biologically safe“. There are no toxic substances in the textile which could cause chemical skin irritations. Therefore FEILER chenille is suitable for allergy sufferers and particularly sensitive skin.

High absorbency

The unique FEILER chenille offers an excellent combination of lightness and high water absorption capacity. After just one washing cycle the textile absorbs five times of its own weight in water.

Fast drying

Thanks to the velvety surface and the lightness, the luxury textiles made of finest FEILER chenille dry faster than usual terry cloth. Due to its terry loops it takes much longer for this material to dispense the same amount of liquid.

Easy stain removal

Tests have also proven this excellent property of FEILER chenille: In particular stains containing grease, oil and pigment can be removed from FEILER chenille easier than from terry cloth.

Saliva and Sweat fastness

Independent tests have awarded FEILER Chenille top marks because the material does not release any colourants that could be absorbed through the mouth or mucous membranes, even on contact with saliva or sweat.

OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification

Our chenille is certified according to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. This certification guarantees that all textile components, including sewing thread, labels, zippers, etc., have been tested for harmful substances and deemed harmless to health. This means our chenille represents the highest level of safety and quality.

*What is the TOG value?

The TOG value is a unit of measurement for the thermal insulation of textiles, especially bedding such as mattresses, duvets, and pillows. TOG stands for "Thermal Overall Grade." It indicates how well a material or product insulates heat and thus provides thermal protection.

This means: The higher the TOG value, the better the thermal insulation. A higher value means the material retains more heat and is therefore warmer. A lower TOG value indicates less thermal insulation, meaning a cooler material.
